Bone the pilchards and open them as a book; brown the grated bread in a pan and then add it to pine kernels, soaked raisins, salt and pepper. Put some of this compound on the open pilchard and the roll it in order to form roulades that end with the tail. Put the pilchards in an oiled oven dish , put some laurel leaves here and there, pour a lttle oil on them and put in oveb at 180° for 15 minutes.

Diliscate le sarde e apritele a libro; tostate il pane grattato in una padella antiaderente e aggiungetelo ai pinoli, all'uvetta ammollata, salate e pepate. Mettete un po' di questo composto sulla sarda aperta e quindi arrotolatela su se stessa in modo da formare degli involtini che finiscono con la coda (se l'avete lasciata pulendo le sarde meglio, è bella da vedere).

Ponete le sarde arrotolate in una pirofila unta con l'olio, infilate qua e là delle foglie d'alloro, versate un filo d'olio su tutte le sarde e infornate a 180 gradi per 15 minuti.

Nothing is sure about Giorgione, his birth date and his name are uncertain, his works are uncertain, no one of them are signed, their meaning is uncertain, enigmatic and almost indecipherable. Genius and mystery.

We don't know anything about this woman identity too. She looks straight forward and it is difficult to identify negative or positive feelings, maybe pride shines through. Maybe she is a Venetian whore , you may tell this looking at her dress with fur that was used by the Venetian whores, and looking at the laurel used in the antiquity for its prophylactic characteristics.

Laurel leaves were chewed by the pizie (female priests) of Apollo temple because they thought this plant was hallucinogenic, able to inspire prophecy.

Di Giorgione nulla è certo, incerta è la sua data di nascita e il suo nome, incerte sono le sue opere, nessuna d’esse è firmata, incerto è il loro significato, enigmatico e per certi versi indecifrabile. Il genio, il mistero.

Anche l’identità di questa donna non è dato sapere. Posta di tre quarti, guarda dritto davanti a sé ed è difficile scorgere in lei qualche sentimento negativo o positivo, semmai traspare la fierezza. Forse si tratta di una prostituta veneziana, lo proverebbe la veste con pelliccia in uso fra le meretrici lagunari, e lo stesso alloro che nell’antichità era noto per le sue proprietà profilattiche.

Foglie di alloro erano anche masticate dalla pizie (le sacedotesse) del tempio di Apollo, a Delfi, in quanto si riteneva questa pianta avesse proprietà allucinogene, capaci di ispirare la profezia.

Ricotta cheese, spinach and curcuma putty cake / Tortino ricotta, spinaci e curcuma

INGREDIENTS
spinach
sheep ricotta cheese
an egg
curcuma
salt
pepper

Cook in abundant boiling and little salted water the spinaches after having well washed, after ten minutes drain and squeeze them. In a bowl mix the ricotta cheese with salt, pepper and abundant curcuma; add the spinaches cut in pieces, the egg and mix. The proportion between spinach and ricotta is as you like. If you are making a big oven dish you may put two eggs. Pour in a dish oven and cook in oven for 15 minutes. Serve tepid in slices.

Cuocete in abbondante acqua bollente poco salata gli spinaci dopo averli ben lavati, dopo dieci minuti scolateli e strizzateli. A parte mescolate in una scodella la ricotta con sale, pepe, abbondante curcuma; unitevi gli spinaci tagliati a pezzetti e l'uovo e mescolate ancora. La proporzione fra spinaci e ricotta è a piacere. Se ne fate una pirofila grande potete anche mettere due uova.
Versate in una pirofila e cuocete in forno per 15 minuti. Servite tiepido a fette.

Colombo is the second single of the fourth album of Baustelle Amen (2006) awarded with the Tenco Targa as best album of the year.

Baustelle is a indie rock Italian band born in 1996 in Montepulciano in the Siena province. The name of the group comes from a German word that means "construction site" "men at work". The band is formed by Francesco Bianconi (voice, guitars, Keybord), Rachele Bastreghi (voice, keyboards, drums) and Claudio Brasini (guitars). This song is inspired to the famous American Colombo lieutenant of a famous tv movie and talks about the hypocrisy of the upper class.

Brussel sprouts and apples / Cavoletti di Bruxelles e mele

INGREDIENTS
(quantity as you prefer)
Brussels sprouts
apples
moked ham typical of Tirol
onion
olive oil
salt
hot pepper

Clean the sprouts and take the hardest external leaves off. In a pan brown some cut onion and the slices of smoked ham, then add the entire sprouts (or half if too big) and some water and let them cook for 7/8 minutes.At this point add the apples cut in little cubes , salt and hot pepper and let cook for 5 minutes more. The sprouts should be ready (test them with a fork).

INGREDIENTI

cavoletti di bruxelles
mela

cipolla
olio extra vergine d'oliva

peperoncino

Lavate i cavoletti e togliete le foglie esterne più rovinate. In una padella soffriggete la cipolla e lo speck a striscette, poi aggiungete i cavoletti interi (o tagliati a metà se sono troppo grandi) e un po' d'acqua e lasciate cuocere per 7/8 minuti. A questo punto buttate la mela a cubetti, il sale e il peperoncino, lasciate cuocere altri 5 minuti, i cavoletti dovrebbero essere pronti (sentiteli con la forchetta).
