The song of wandering Aengus / La canzone di Aengus il vagabondo

Castelluccio is a dreamy place that reminded us a dreamy song: The song of wandering Aegus. The original version has words by W.B.Yeats and music of Donovan Leitch. Our proposal is by Angelo Branduardi (Cuggiono, Milano 12 febbraio 1950) a popular Italian singer who published in 1986 "Branduardi sings Yeats"

We are always looking for love
we keep wandering
we get old seeking
But a dream always accompanies us
will we find it in our last dream …?

THE SONG OF WANDERING AENGUS
By: W.B. Yeats
I went out to the hazel wood,
Because a fire was in my head,
And cut and peeled a hazel wand,
And hooked a berry to a thread;

And when white moths were on the wing,
And moth-like stars were flickering out,
I dropped the berry in a stream
And caught a little silver trout.

When I had laid it on the floor
I went to blow the fire a-flame,
But something rustled on the floor,
And some one called me by my name:
It had become a glimmering girl
With apple blossom in her hair
Who called me by my name and ran
And faded through the brightening air.

Though I am old with wandering
Through hollow lands and hilly lands,
I will find out where she has gone,
And kiss her lips and take her hands;
And walk among long dappled grass,
And pluck till time and times are done
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.

Siamo sempre alla ricerca dell'amore...
Continuiamo a vagabondare cercando...
Diventiamo vecchi nel cercare...
Ma un sogno ci accompagna sempre...
Lo ritroveremo nell'ultimo sogno...?

Happy Easter! / Buona Pasqua!

Saronno, Sanctuary/ Saronno, santuario

The painting is realized on the cupola of the sanctuary and it is the most crowded concert we have never seen. The musicians are sorted in small groups as if they follow the composition requirements of the musical writing. In this way they become expression of a message both acoustic and visual. We are struck by the wealth and variety of the instrumental iconography: ghirondas, flutes and drums that sign the passage from the cultured concert music to the popular and folklorist one; pipes, Alp horn and above all nyastaranga (an ancient Indian instrument) that indicate the presence of exotic and profane instruments. There are out of whole cloth instruments too.
A perfect introduction to Capossela music.

The Alive Man / L'Uomo Vivo

The traditional celebration of “ The alive man” in the town of Scicli (RG) Sicily
In the town of Scicli on Easter Day the statue of the Risen Christ called “ The Joy” raised by hundreds of arms in a exultation of sounds and colors, among applauses and deafening shouts is taken in procession through the town streets. The procession is very particular because the statue widely swings from right to left in a frantic way at the shout of: Joy, Joy, Joy! and accompanied by the music of the Real march and the Busacca Hymn. A shower of flowers'petals comes down from balconies at its passage. Christ looks crazy of joy because he came back from the dead and he is among men again.
The video presented by Vinicio Capossela is his interpretation of the original piece of Busacca.

“He left Calvary and shroud
He left the cross and the pain
He woke up from his sleep and now He is always with us.

If God had abandoned Him
now the villagers are accompanying Him
What a joy to be able to hug Him
What a joy to take Him to dinner

His rays behind His back radiate Jo- Jo - Joy
His stretched fingers point at Jo- Jo – Joy
The hands explode because of Jo- Jo – Joy
He throws himself because of Jo- Jo – Joy

...He staggers and wobbles on the back of the crowd...

Until He arrives at the top, up in the sky, till He may see the sea
Up to life , to the beauty of life that should never end
Jo- Jo – Joy, Jo- Jo – Joy, Jo- Jo – Joy !!!!”

Gioia gioia gioia gioia gioia gioia“

Durante il periodo della Quaresima un tempo la chiesa aveva proibito il consumo di uova che, causa la produzione continua delle galline, si accumulavano fino a Pasqua: da qui il motivo per cui in moltissimi piatti pasquali tradizionali italiani le uova sono l’ingrediente principale. and the world doesn't look like you
Brother, you are looking at the sky
and the sky isn't looking at you
If there is a road under the sea
sooner or later it will find us
If there isn't a road inside people's heart
sooner or later it will be marked out..."
